This little owl is a fun gift for Harry Potter Fans. Hedwig, I think Harry's white owl is named.
Shuttle and ball CTM, do not cut the thread from the ball.

Ring ( 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 2 = 2 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 ) turn
Chain ( 10 - 1 - 1 - 1 -1 - 1 10 ) turn
Ring ( 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 2 + 2 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 ) turn The join is to the Very Large joining picot of the first ring.
Chain ( 5 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 15 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 15 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 5 )
Tie ends at the base of the first ring, Hide the ends and cut close to the work. You may add a loop of thread at the top of the head to hand him for a suncatcher.

This is good practice for tatting chains that are tight, but not so tight that they curl tightly.
