July 15 - Ruth's 2007 snowflake variation

This snowflake has a lot of frilly lacy rings tatted with shuttle 2 shown in yellow. It is tatted following the same basic idea as the previous two snowflakes. If your tatting is not tight you may need to alter some of the stitch counts to make it come out so that it lies flat. I used a plastic yarn needle as a picot gauge for the decorative picots so they are all the same size.


There is a project to make Christmas ornaments to send to our troops overseas, and these little snowflakes would be a good piece to tat for that purpose. For more information you may write me on the Celtic Tatting Group on Yahoo. I'm waiting to hear back from the contact person for this project.
