February 8 - Medallion Heart

This heart was inspired by the medallion on a pair of earrings I bought at Target store a few weeks ago. While I know that it's not exactly the same as the hearts around this medallion, it is close enough.

Leave ends long enough to hide or wind twisted cord for a bookmark.

Tat the other side, between ** joining to the first half were shown on diagram.

Finish by making twisted cord, or Tie Hide Cut the ends.

You may need to adjust the stitch counts for much smaller threads or tatting that is very loose or very tight.

I tatted a picot every 4 DS in the sample to make it easy to count the stitches. More or less picots and or beads is left to personal preference. Beads on the joining picots might be interesting too!

The easiest way to make twisted cord is with the Crazy Cords Winder (cool tool) that Lily Morales sells.
