February 26 - Easy Little Heart by Ruth

Copyright Ruth Perry 2007
Mlle Riego used reverse stitches in her patterns, calling them r st. It's tatted 2nd half first NO FLIP, 1st half second NO FLIP. This little heart would be pretty for earrings, to glue to a card or bookmark, or as a little collar decoration for a special someone.

It is a "use up the last bit of thread" on my shuttle pattern after finishing my yellow heart, takes just a few minutes to tat, and makes me smile.

Ring ( 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 )
Chain 25 reverse stitches

Adjust the tension of the chains to shape the heart. Tie the ends at base of 1st ring. Finish by hiding ends, or tie the ends for a loop to hang it up. Add a length of tatting, twisted cord, or ribbon to make a quick and easy bookmark. Enjoy!
